Education First offers its scholarship program in a select list of participating high schools. We serve schools that have lower percentages of college applicants.
For the 2016/2017 high school year, we will be offering the following awards in each of our chapter cities:
- $4,000 Primary Winner
- $2,000 Honorable Mention
Students must meet certain eligibility requirements and submit a written application. Select applicants will be invited to participate in an interview with our volunteers. Click here for more details on our application process.
Since 1996, Education First has awarded over $800,000 in scholarships.
Scholarships from Education First are valid up to seven years after high school graduation and can be applied to tuition or books. We send the full scholarship directly to the college/university in the first term, allowing scholars to work with their financial aid office and determine which years (or terms) to apply the award. Scholars can request a different payout schedule, as it is not our intent to affect their overall financial aid package. If a scholar transfers, they request unused funds to be returned to Education First and funds are re-directed to their new school.
Scholars can reach us at email@example.com to answer any questions or to update their information.

Where Are They Now?
Thank you for the support you provided me during my time at California State University, Los Angeles, and for helping me to become the first one in my family to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. I got hired by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power a few weeks after finishing with school. My achievements were possible by your help and support. Thank you so much.
