How You Can Help

Education First is a volunteer-driven organization. We exist because our volunteers and monetary donors have a passion for education and the desire to see disadvantaged students succeed. Through the generosity of time and resources, our scholars are given opportunities they may not have received through other scholarship programs. If you would like to help, we encourage you to consider the following opportunities:

Become a Volunteer

Our volunteers contribute in a wide variety of ways. They select scholars, mentor students, raise money, plan events, work on national initiatives, and more. We work together as a team to make each year a success. Volunteer opportunities are available for any of our six scholarship cities: Austin, TX; Denver, CO; Los Angeles, CA; Portland, OR; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA.

Donate

Monetary donations go toward keeping our scholarships available in all of our scholarship cities. Funds are used to fulfill our scholarships. Those wishing to make a monetary donation can do so via our secure online credit card service or by check.

Past Scholars —
Where Are They Now?

I have been extremely busy. I am a full time student at South Seattle Community College currently in my last quarter for my Associates of Arts, which means I am getting ready to apply to universities and decide my major. I work 32 hours a week at ITT Technical Institute in the Career Service Department. It is hard sometimes (as a single mother of two) but I try my best.
