The Education First Portland chapter’s spring fundraiser, Cheers to Education, was a smashing success! During the event on May 13, 2011, attendees had the opportunity to participate in blind tastings of northwest brews, and to cast votes as to which they deem the best of the bunch. Attendees also had the option to participate in silent and live auctions, and to purchase raffle tickets with the chance of winning four tickets to the Timbers vs. the Sounders game on July 10th (section C4).
At the event, it was declared that after receiving the highest number of votes (55), the champion beer of the first annual Cheers to Education blind tasting was MacTarnahan’s Amber Ale!
